Great News ! - The owners have agreed to accept our offer to buy the Auctioneers Arms. The sale is subject to agreement on a number of terms and conditions which the Steering Group believe are all achievable. We will be instructing our solicitors to advice us on the T&Cs with the intention of proceeding with the sale, and are confident that we can complete all transactions within the stipulated 12 week period. All investors will be given 7 days notice prior to any funds being drawn down.
This is a fantastic achievement and Caverswall Community Society would like to thank all of our investors for their support and patience in helping to save the Auctioneers Arms.
Please note. Some investors may have received an email from Crowdfunder stating that their pledge has been drawn from their account. This is an error on their behalf and a full refund will be given. The Society are still in negotiations with the owners and no agreement has yet been reached on the sale of the pub. Further updates will shortly be available on our website. ... See MoreSee Less

There must be some of you reading the posts on Facebook and elsewhere, who have seen the target become ever closer and who at times during the past months have thought, 'They'll never raise the money.' Well now you could be the person who makes the difference to reach the target. Join those of us who believe this will work. ... See MoreSee Less
Another few pledges come in this weekend. Fantastic. My dad just been talking about another successful community pub in Yorkshire just accomplished exactly what we are trying to do. Let's be up there with the pubs that are doing this and not be saying-- that's what the knocks people were trying to do. All pubs will be doing this in the future-- just like past pubs have successfully achieved. Let's put The Auctioneers Arms on the map too. It's achievable, doable and can be successful. Come on we are nearly there, be a part of it, have your say, n more than anything keep "our history in OUR village". Just need only a few more believers! N more than anything there is a absolute "fantastic" team behind this that WILL make this work. We are all working tirelessly in our own time cus we are passionate about our village, our pub, n the future of Caverswall 🍰🍸🥃🍰⭐️🥃🍸🍰💕 1300 members on this page. Let's see at least a 1000 shares of this post. If you don't do anything else just PLEASE share our post please it might just hit people who don't even know what we are doing xx come on guys share share share away x ... See MoreSee Less
